Cozy Kittens: Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
The short version
Cozy Kittens has no accounts and never shows an ad unless you ask for one. It never asks for your real name, email, contacts or location. It sends two things to our server, both described below: your puzzle results, and the nickname and picture you choose for the leaderboard.
What stays on your device
Your progress, your collection and your settings (sound, music, vibration, reminder, bedtime mode) are saved only on your own device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Puzzle results
When you finish a puzzle for the first time, the game sends three things to our server: which puzzle it was, how long it took, and how many hints you used. They are sent with a random number that the game makes up on your device. That number is not linked to your name, your phone, your accounts or anything else about you.
We use these results only to show things like "faster than 70% of players" and the list of today’s fastest times, and the leaderboards. We do not sell or share them, and we cannot tell which person any result belongs to.
Your nickname and picture
The game suggests a made-up nickname such as "Sleepy Biscuit" and lets you type your own. The nickname, the kitten picture and the frame colour you choose are sent to our server with the same random number, so other players can see them next to your place on the leaderboard. Please do not use your real name. Nicknames pass through an automatic filter that refuses rude words.
If you would like your results removed, email us the code shown as "Player code" at the bottom of your profile in the game, and we will delete your results, nickname and picture.
Videos for hints
When you run out of hints you can choose to watch a short video ad to get one. This is the only advertising in the game: it never appears unless you tap the button, and never in bedtime mode. The videos are provided by Google AdMob. When one is shown, Google receives information from your device such as its advertising identifier, approximate location from your internet address, and how you interacted with the ad, and uses it under Google’s own policy. Only ads rated for general audiences are requested. Where the law requires it, you are asked first whether ads may be personalised, and you can reset your advertising identifier or turn off ad personalisation in your device’s settings.
Notifications
If you turn on the bedtime reminder, your device shows one notification each evening. It is scheduled on your device. No information leaves your device, and you can turn it off at any time in the game's settings or in your device's settings.
Children
Cozy Kittens is suitable for all ages and does not ask for personal information from anyone, including children. The nickname is the only thing a player types, and the game asks players not to use a real name.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
